Children and Students

Discoveryland birth through 5th grade

While you participate in our Sunday services, we have dynamic programs for your children! Discoveryland is a vibrant play area and nursery where your children are free to be creative and learn in a secure, Christ-centered environment. Our caring staff of volunteers and certified teachers are there to encourage your youngsters to learn Bible stories and grow in their faith while laughing and playing together.

Check your children into Discoveryland by entering on the first floor of the parking garage on Sunday mornings.

Middle School Wednesdays, 6-8th Grade • 4:30-8:45 p.m.

We want every student to feel at home from the moment they step foot into our Student Center. We have a wonderful team of leaders that understand the challenges of being in middle school. At 6:45 p.m. our programmed time together begins and provides a mix of food, games, music, teaching, small groups and personal challenge. During small groups, leaders are sensitive to issues that students may be dealing with and will take time to pray for their concerns.

I Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”

The doors to the student center are open at 4:30 p.m. for the “after school” crowd. Many of our students walk over from Duncan Middle School and enjoy some down time or do their homework in the Student Center.

At 5:30 p.m., The Temple Warriors, as they are known, spend about an hour together in the Student Center teaching various martial arts for those who wish to participate. Their theme verse is I Corinthian 6:19 & 20.

High School Mondays, 9-12th Grade • 7–9 p.m.

The doors to the student center open at 6 p.m. with dinner available for $1.50. We host a variety of students from area high schools, so feel comfortable checking this out. Each night we provide an interactive game to help break the ice and transition from the hectic schedule of school and work to a more relaxed setting. We are blessed to have an incredible worship leader draw us closer to God, some good teaching, and small groups that help you face life with hope.

Proverbs 16:3 & 4 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The Lord works everything for his own ends.”

As things come up in students’ lives, our team puts these verses into practice. Our leaders provide a listening ear, offer support and point to truth to maneuver through whatever happens in a student’s life.
